• 1843 Wilhelm Wenzel Klambt opens a publishing company in the Silesian Neurode: the “Buchdruckerei [book printer] Wilhelm Wenzel Klambt”. The first publication is the weekly paper “Der Hausfreund”, produced on a hand-press.  
  
  
• 1945 the Klambt group, which has grown in the meantime, has to give up its plant in Silesia. Speyer on the Rhine becomes the new head office of the group.
  
  
• 1957 the company starts intaglio printing. The company had grown into large-scale graphic enterprise with book and offset printing under the name Klambt-Druck GmbH over the preceding years. In addition to the media of the existing Klambt Verlag [publishers] and various catalogues, the company is producing more scientific journals and books. The range also includes the Meyers and Brockhaus encyclopaedias as well as the entire Duden range.
  
  
• 1993 the intaglio production is extensively updated. It becomes obvious that the location Speyer was reaching its limit with the new machines and the company decides to build a new intaglio plant in Landau.
  
  
• 1996 the intaglio printer Schlott GmbH in Freundenstadt takes over Klambt-Druck. The company is renamed to wwk druck GmbH.
  
  
• 1998 a second rotational printer goes into operation at the Landau site. The same year the printing plate production and gravure are moved to Landau.
  
  
• 2000 schlott AG and the Sebaldus group in Nuernburg join to become a media service provider. wwk druck becomes one of three intaglio locations in the new group of companies, which is renamed schlott gruppe AG in 2003.
